A Quick Review of the iPad for Senior Citizens

April 6, 2010

When I first learned about the iPad I immediately thought “That looks like a great tool for senior citizens.”  Now that the device has hit the market I have a goal to evaluate it for myself and see whether my prediction was right.  In the meantime, however, I ran across a great review from fellow blogger “Phil,” who has his own site for discussing technology for seniors.  Here is an excerpt and a link to it:

My immediate question was: Can my dad use this? Happily, the answer is yes. Initial set-up would require me to sync the iPad to iTunes, (something he would never be able to do on his own) but once the device is synced and ready, it is probably the most senior friendly “computer” I have ever seen.

I suggest you take a few minutes to read his review.  If you have any insights of your own about the iPad, please add your comments below and share them with the rest of us.  Thanks!
